2020 Audi A6: Refined, Powerful, and Tech-Loaded

The eighth-generation Audi A6 arrives as a completely new model, bringing sharper styling, a more spacious interior—especially at the rear—and a suite of advanced technologies. Launched in India with a petrol-only powertrain, this move aligns with Volkswagen Group’s global shift away from diesel engines. However, a diesel variant may be offered later depending on market demand.

Design and Styling
The new A6 showcases an evolutionary design with a bolder presence. At the front, a wide single-frame grille with chrome accents is flanked by angular LED headlamps. The sculpted bonnet and extended wheelbase enhance its premium look. Dual-tone alloy wheels and sleek LED tail-lamps connected by a chrome strip round off the modern styling.

Engine and Performance
Powering the A6 is a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine delivering 240 bhp and 370 Nm of torque. Paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, it drives the front wheels and sprints from 0–100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h. Audi claims a fuel efficiency of 14.11 kmpl. A BS6 diesel version may follow based on customer interest.
